| "Fast Eddie" Races a Vintage Indian at the Ventura Raceway - September 27th, 2008 |
After a whirlwind run down to the Inner Circle campout, Brotherhood members and families came out in force to watch one of our own "Fast Eddie" race a vintage Indian at the Ventura Speedway flat track at Seaside Park. Nobody, Vapors, Low Gear, Lug Nuts, Banjo, Cuddles, Bulldog and their families showed up to rally support for our Brother and have a whooping good time.
Despite a disappointing mechanical failure on the Indian, Eddie showed us all his tricks by pulling out a second place finish on his flat-track bike missing the win by only a few feet down the stretch. Another highlight of the event was the "Run What U Brung" category that had everything from baggers to full-on choppers tearing up the dirt track enroute to another season of bragging rights. Kids even got into it with the inside-track "Munchkin Race." One little guy riding a 50 cc with a mohawk on his helmet really got the crowd on its feet when he started pumping his fist in the air on his way to the starting line.
Lots of fun was had by all and we'll be back out at the next race to watch Eddie WIN!
