| 1st Annual Brotherhood Anonymous Run - August 22-24th, 2008 |
The first annual Brotherhood Anonymous Run and Campout held at Far West Resorts in Santa Paula, CA was a huge success. Bikers from all over the state showed up to support the Brotherhood and have a heck of a good time. After a lot of hard work and prep by the Brotherhood Members, the final spaghetti feed and wood chopping evening went down at Big C's place. Arriving later that night at the campsite, Brotherhood set up the huge BBQ grill, stage area, bike games area, run route signs, raffle prizes, trophy table and registration tent. The raffle this year was so big we had to bring a flat bed truck just to hold all the gear!
Some of the pictures you'll see here in this photo album:
Pre-run spaghetti dinner and woodchoppin' party. Harley riding police statue that greeted the bikers on their way through Santa Paula. Sober clubs from all over California showed up wearin' their cuts. Bikes of all makes and models were welcome. Vendors brought their wares. The barbeque was cooking day and night. Bike games proved to be wild and wooly with Jap John taking the bulk of the prizes, riding 3 planks with his lady riding backwards! That's talent folks. Musicians showed up including a great blues/ rock band and a bluegrass band on Saturday. The run had some cloudy weather by the beach but everyone had a good time. Thanks to SB Harley for the grub! Families, friends, bikers and a great sense of fellowship in recovery. Thanks to all of you who came and helped us make this such a special event! Many thanks from your friends at Brotherhood Anonymous. Looking forward to next year.
